Across 7 editions of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) from 2015 to 2025, West Bengal has announced ₹19 lakh crore in cumulative investment proposals, of which the state reports ₹13 lakh crore realised. The 2025 edition alone carried ₹4.4 lakh crore across 212 memoranda of understanding.

The largest single commitments are Reliance Industries (₹50,000 crore, Retail, Jio, New Energy), JSW Group (₹16,000 crore, Power (1600 MW at Salboni)), Ambuja Neotia (₹15,000 crore, Healthcare, Hospitality, Real Estate). The supporting industrial base is 200 industrial parks, 22 IT parks, 22 special economic zones, 11 data centres and 2 electronics manufacturing clusters, with 41 companies at the Silicon Valley Hub. Priority sectors run to 12: IT / ITES, Leather, Tea, Jute, Steel, Cement, Textiles, FMCG, Foundry, Hosiery, Food Processing, Green Energy.
